Photography is my passion, but I’m also…
I’m Kay!
a professional reality tv commentator, extreme coffee addict, and law & order expert, just to name a few of my attributes haha
The Woman Behind The Lens
If you couldn't tell by now, I'm not only a crazy coffee loving Wedding and Portrait Photographer,
I am also married myself, I’m a mama to two of the cutest babies on this planet(of course, I am biased). I'm married to my partner of nearly ten years, Cameron. We just recently moved back home to Maryland from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where we lived for nearly three years. Now, we are back in Maryland, and LOVING it.
We are originally from Harford County, Maryland but now we live in Frederick County, the change is absolutely wonderful.
A little more about me..
I'm definitely known for being silly, and chances are if you're around me for longer than ten minutes I'll have you laughing at some of the most ridiculous things. I'm a hopeless romantic and I'm constantly inspired by emotion, movement, and nature in my work. There's not much posing going on over here, I like to work more so with prompts then poses and a little bit of a hands off approach.
One of the many reasons why couples, and weddings specifically are my jam. I've been told that from the moment we get together you feel like you're hanging out with someone you've known for years, and that's my goal. I cannot wait to meet you!!
FUN FACTS
My Why
As a Wedding Photographer deeply committed to inclusivity, queerness, and diversity, my "why" stems from a profound belief in the power of love to transcend boundaries and unite us all.
I am driven by the desire to provide a platform where every couple, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or background, feels not only accepted but truly celebrated.
My passion for Inclusive Photography stems from personal experiences and a recognition of the importance of representation. Growing up and even now, there is a HUGE lack of diverse narratives in mainstream media, including and especially, within the wedding industry. This fueled my determination to challenge norms and create a space where all love stories are honored and valued.
Through my work, I strive to go beyond mere documentation, seeking to capture the essence and uniqueness of each couple's relationship. I approach every shoot with an open heart and mind, taking the time to understand each couple's journey, values, and vision for their special day. By building genuine connections and fostering a supportive environment, I aim to create images that not only reflect the outward beauty of the moment but also the depth of emotion and authenticity within.
Moreover, as a Queer Photographer myself, I understand the importance of representation and the impact it can have on individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to creating a safe and affirming space where couples can express themselves freely and authentically. By centering their stories and experiences, I aim to empower others to embrace their identities and love without fear or reservation.
Ultimately, my "why" as a Wedding Photographer is about more than just taking pictures; it's about fostering connections with my clients, promoting acceptance, and celebrating love in all its beautiful and diverse forms. It's about creating a legacy of inclusivity and representation that will inspire future generations to love boldly, live authentically, and embrace the beauty of diversity.
